Open House at Governor Morehead School
On May 29th, from 6:30 - 8:30pm, WYWLA will have an open house for seated students and families only.  This is a very important evening full of logistics, scheduling, and of course, the unveiling of our uniform!  Please click here to RSVP so we have an accurate headcount.

Thank you to all who came out last night for Haley Kilpatrick's parent/daughter presentation.  It was a huge success!  Thank you to Broughton High School, Leslie Kimball from The Century Council, Scout Strategies founder Emily Gibson, the staff from Girl Talk, our WYWLA community, and of course, Haley Kilpatrick!  A special thank you to our amazing panelists Blair Burnett from Apex High School, Valery Cauldron from Apex High School, and Desiree Dunn from Wake Early College.

Greetings Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy Families! 
  
Please join us on April 26th, 2012 for our first formal "schoolwide" event.

PARENTS AND DAUGHTERS are invited to join inspiring 25-year-old author and activist HALEY KILPATRICK for a fun, interactive evening of discussion about the ups and downs of middle school. In celebration of Haley’s first book, THE DRAMA YEARS, as well as the 10th Anniversary of her non-profit peer mentoring organization, GIRL TALK, Haley will engage parents and girls in a conversation about friendships, bullying, brands, body image and more, and provide concrete strategies for navigating these common challenges with confidence. A meet and greet and book signing will follow.
